An atmospheric rest area, where you will sit in the middle of memorials to South Jutland's history.

What is at the rest area?
At the rest area, you can rest by the table and bench set with a view of a Reunification Stone and a memorial stone. The site itself is surrounded by tall trees on hillsides, which both look cozy but also challenge little legs who need space to romp on.

The rest area is located close to highway 32.

History of the place:
Dover is just south of the river Kongeå and therefore part of the Empire of Prussia until 1920.
In 1930, residents on both sides of the river Kongeå erected a memorial stone to commemorate the Reunification in 1920.

Tour suggestions:
Not far from the rest area you will find the "Cannon Position at Dover" which is from the 2. World war. Today, just like when the Germans built the fortifications, there is a good view of the landscape with the Kongeå valley.
This place is also on the list of 18 Natural Gems in Vejen Municipality.
